Stop “Shoulding” On Yourself

Have you ever “should have” yourself to death? From time to time, we all “should” ourselves into situations, commitments, and stereotypes we aren’t comfortable with. Whether it be in our relationships and our expectations of what a spouse “should” be or how mothers and parents “should” act and raise their families, we all have been guilty of letting the weight of the word rule our lives.

On this episode of Love This B!tch, I encourage us not to let “should” dictate how we view ourselves to stop pigeonholing us into a corner of expectations. Learn how to change the connotation of the word and find power in charting your own journey.

Episode Highlights:

  • Shifting our mindsets around the word “should” (1:35)

  • How “should” affects your relationships (3:07)

  • Questions to ask when you start “shoulding” yourself (11:24)
